The duct cleaning symptoms we hear most
- Dust settles back on the furniture a day after I clean Return leakage pulling in attic or crawlspace debris
- A musty smell hits the room when the AC kicks on Moisture in duct runs or a dirty evaporator coil and drain pan
- Black streaking around the register grilles Fine soot and dust bypassing a poor filter seal
- One bedroom always has less air than the rest Blocked, crushed or disconnected branch duct
- Allergy symptoms are worse indoors than outside Loaded filter media and debris in the return path
Search for it as duct cleaning or air duct cleaning and you land in the same place: one visit, one written quote.
Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
- 1Change or reseat the air filter and make sure it fits the slot with no gap around the frame.
- 2Walk the house and confirm supply and return vents are open and not blocked by furniture or rugs.
- 3Check the thermostat settings and batteries so the fan is running the way you think it is.
- 4Look at the breaker for the indoor unit and outdoor unit, and clear leaves and grass clippings from around the outdoor cabinet.

How do I know if my ducts actually need cleaning?
Look at a few registers and pull the filter. Visible debris on the grille slats, dust returning within a day of cleaning, or a musty smell at startup are the usual signs. We inspect first and tell you plainly if cleaning will not help.
How long does a duct cleaning visit take?
Most single-family homes take several hours depending on the number of runs, the layout, and whether the system is in an attic, a basement or a crawlspace. Older homes with long branch runs and multiple returns take longer than compact new construction.
Will duct cleaning fix my humidity problem?
Usually not on its own. Damp duct smells in this region often trace back to crawlspace moisture, a leaking return, or a drain pan that is not clearing. We clean the ducts and point out the moisture source so you are not repeating the work.
Do you clean the vents and registers too?
Yes. Register and boot cleaning is part of the work, and we can also do it as a standalone visit if the ducts themselves are in good shape. Grilles come off, get cleaned, and go back on straight.
How often should ducts be cleaned?
There is no fixed schedule that fits every house. Pets, renovation work, smoking indoors and a damp crawlspace all shorten the interval. Most homeowners go several years between cleanings, and a quick inspection tells you more than a calendar does.
Does cleaning ducts make my system heat and cool better?
It can help airflow if runs are genuinely loaded with debris, but a clean duct will not fix a failing blower, a low refrigerant charge or an undersized return. If we see a performance issue while we are in there, we will tell you what we found.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form. We ask what changed, when it started, and what the thermostat reads against the actual room temperature. That short conversation tells us what parts to load on the truck.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behaviour and the outdoor unit. You get a plain explanation of what failed and why, before any work starts.
- Step 3
Repair and verify
We make the repair, then run the system through a full cycle and measure temperatures at the supply and return. If something upstream caused the failure, we tell you so it does not repeat.

Why homeowners call us
- We know salt airCoastal homes lose condenser coils to salt corrosion years before inland systems do. We look for fin damage and pitted line sets on every visit, because a clean-looking unit can still be shedding capacity from the outside in.
- Humidity is part of the jobHurricane-season air loads a system in ways a temperature reading will not show. If your house feels clammy at 74 degrees, we look at run times, airflow and drainage rather than just adding refrigerant and leaving.
- Crawlspace realitiesHigh water tables mean wet ground under ductwork, rusted plenums and condensate lines with nowhere good to drain. We check what is happening under the floor, since that is often where comfort problems actually begin.
- Straight answersWe tell you what failed, what it will take to fix, and whether a repair makes sense on an older system. No pressure to replace something that has honest years left in it, and no vague diagnosis.
- All major brands, gas & electricIndependent service on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, York and the rest.
- Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
